    Tracy Skochil

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Tracy is a storyteller who fell into marketing and never left. A marketing strategist for 25+years, Tracy leads POP’s strategic planning, program development, and funding efforts. Tracy writes sci-fi about the intersection of technology and humanity - but her newest piece is a thriller about ravens. Write with her virtually on Wednesday nights!     Sue Fulton

    FOUNDER & BIGGEST CHEERLEADER

    Sue is a leader, prose writer, and poet. A previous host of the Metro Phoenix chapter of Shut Up & Write, Sue and her teams published two anthologies. Sue founded POP in 2023, focused on making author support available across the Valley. Sue is no longer involved in POP’s day-to-day, but is always the lens the team runs decisions through. “What would Sue do?”

    Cristi Scobee

    INCLUSION, OPPORTUNITY, & FEEDBACK

    Done with the life path she was "supposed to live," Cristi(na) Scobee enjoys exploring the road less traveled. After finishing her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, she later pursued an MBA from Grand Canyon University and an MA in Film and Theatre from the University of Galway. Cristi' is passionate about her mixed heritage and the unique way family culture shapes an individual. Her other interests include theatre, OCD advocacy, and finding out more about everyone's unique life story. 

  • Felicia Penza

    BLK WRDS, CULTURE, & CREATIVE FLAIR

    Felicia brings programs to the Valley that celebrate and uplift Black voices. She’s the brilliant creative soul behind POP’s brand presence. Felicia is currently producing her children’s book “I Will Always Choose You,” a heartwarming story written for the more than 15 million children being raised in single family homes. A quadruple threat — singer, painter, and writer — Felicia’s artwork can be found throughout Phoenix.

    Eric Boyd

    CRAFT, LEGALESE, & CONNECTION

    Eric loves to geek out over writing craft, story ideas, and the last book he read. A lawyer and dad to two teenagers, Eric writes middle grade horror but recently he’s been inspired to write an adult horror novel. Eric has led events and workshops for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Shut Up & Write, and The Ubergroup (focused on removing financial barriers to arts education). He runs the wildly popular “Writers Read” book club.

    COMMUNITY, EVENTS, & PARTNERSHIPS

    An all-around people person, Leslie helps POP find and connect with existing AZ writing communities, publishers, and authors. You’ll often find her holding down the fort at the PHX Oasis Press table at local events - stop by and say hi! A retired health-care exec, Leslie lends her expertise to help POP continually reach new audiences. Well-acquainted with the ever-changing writer's journey, Leslie's memoir is in editing phase.
